Fresh from KBIS 2026: What’s Next in Bath & Kitchen Design
For the first time ever, Waterhouse Bath & Kitchen Studio attended the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) — and we came back inspired.
Our Senior Showroom Specialist, Julie Williams, spent her time exploring new product launches, emerging materials, bold color statements, and innovative smart technology shaping the future of bathroom and kitchen spaces. Throughout March, we’ll be sharing the photos she captured on the show floor — and this is your insider preview.
Here’s what stood out most.
Color Is Back — and It’s Bold
Neutral will always have its place, but KBIS 2026 made one thing clear: color is leading the conversation.
From spring green and deep red freestanding tubs to a stunning teal bathroom installation paired with soft pink tile, designers are embracing personality in a big way. Statement pedestal sinks, matching toilets, and coordinated tubs prove that color isn’t just an accent — it’s the foundation of the space.
If you’ve been waiting to move beyond white, this is your sign.
Concrete, Reimagined: Concretti
One of Julie’s favorite discoveries was Concretti — a line redefining what concrete can look and feel like in the bath space.
Their backlit wall of colorful concrete sinks stopped people in their tracks. Even more impressive? The sealer is integrated directly into the product itself, enhancing durability while maintaining a smooth, modern finish.
A robin’s egg blue sculptural tub from the collection proved that concrete can be soft, artistic, and unexpectedly elegant.
“Seeing these products in person completely shifts your perspective,” Julie shared. “The craftsmanship and color options make concrete feel elevated and design-forward — not industrial.”
Sculptural Statements: The Halo Shower
The Roccesco Bath Collection debuted with dramatic lighting and bold geometry, and the Halo shower head stole the show.
Architectural and modern, this piece transforms the shower experience into something immersive and visually striking. It’s proof that functional fixtures can double as art.
Smart Technology Gets Smarter
Innovation was everywhere — especially in smart bathroom technology.
The Kohler x Shea McGee smart toilet blends elevated design with intelligent functionality. Clean lines, thoughtful features, and modern convenience make it both beautiful and practical.
We also saw advancements in everyday essentials, like the latest InSinkErator disposal featuring built-in LED light technology designed to reduce bacteria and improve cleanliness under the sink.
The takeaway? Smart products are no longer futuristic — they’re becoming standard.
High Gloss & New Finishes
Reflective surfaces and fresh faucet finishes were another standout trend. From ultra-glossy lavatory sinks to evolved metallic finishes, the focus is on depth, texture, and light interaction.
These details may seem subtle, but they completely transform a space.
Wellness at Home
Wellness continues to shape bathroom design.
Cold plunges, in-home infrared saunas, and illuminated freestanding tubs point toward a growing desire to create spa-level experiences at home. Bathrooms are no longer just functional spaces — they’re personal retreats.
Workstation Sinks Are Here to Stay
In the kitchen, functionality remains king.
Workstation sinks continue to trend, emphasizing efficiency and multi-functionality. Accessories that slide, prep, rinse, and organize make the sink work harder — so you don’t have to.
The modern kitchen is about smarter workflow, not just aesthetics.
What This Means for You
While not every product we saw is currently displayed in our showroom, many of the brands featured are ones we proudly carry. The trends we saw at KBIS help shape what’s coming next — and what we bring to our clients.
Design is evolving. Materials are improving. Technology is integrating seamlessly.
And this is just the beginning.
If you’re planning a remodel or new build, now is the perfect time to explore what’s possible.
